The soldier's name is incorrect on Footnote. As you can clearly see in his records, his name was "John C. Marshall," not Marsh. Chip Jones

This is Francis M. Kendrick of Polk County, TN and later Murray County, GA. He was interviewed for Minerva Ledford's widow's pension #W1199, in which he states that he, Mrs. Ledford's husband, and several others served in Company B, 29th TN Infantry.

David MAJORS is the name of a brother to both Elias and John MAJORS whose records here at Footnote indicate served in the 26th TN Inf, CSA, too. The MAJORS family lived near the border of Roane and Rhea Counties, TN.

I believe John MAJORS of the 26th TN Inf, CSA - in the next file - to be the brother of this Elias MAJORS who lived near the Roane and Rhea County borders in Tennessee. Sistler's Index to Confederate Pensions, however, says that John served in the 43rd TN Inf - as did another brother Francis MAJORS. The 43rd TN Inf was captured and parolled at Vicksburg.
